TOP SURVEY RESULTS

These are the most popular results from the survey and “table talks” collected from the membership. They are in no particular order of popularity. The committee will report all the research findings to the E-board, which will then decide the going forward plan.

  1. Re-instate Zoom
  2. Get paid for 24 hours of OT
  3. Become Salary Employees
  4. Raise starting FF rate of pay
  5. Front load Sick Leave
  6. Raise pay rate for Lts.
  7. Raise pay rate for TL
  8. Join The LEOFF 2 retirement system
  9. More Union involvement in joint committees (i.e. Manning, OT, Flight test, Hiring, Uniforms)
  10. No Outsourcing Language
  11. Captains should be in the Union
  12. Pay increase for Specialty Certifications
  13. Add Specialty Certifications for pay
  14. Increase shift bonus
  15. Exchange OT pay, for increased benefits
  16. Increase holiday pay
  17. Retain Pension
  18. More defined training opportunities (i.e. Off duty, Paid classes, use of PPE)
  19. Eliminate “management discretion” language
  20. Increase boot allowance
  21. Reduce Retirement age
  22. Eliminate shift bonus and add to wages
