3Q Joint Labor / Management Meeting – Recap
1. Staffing
* 6 opening in Puget Sound
* 1 member already started
* 2 persons in hiring system
* 3 will be hired with upcoming testing list
* Kris Stewart is the Union focal for Puget Sound request moves
* Management declares the opening or moves
* Kris uses the Request system to fill opening and reports back to Management
2. LTP – Learning Together Program
* Boeing will pay for most college classes
* Management will issue a policy on how to correctly apply for courses, to get approved
* Management working with Legal about use of PPE and other equipment
3. Review NWA 120 – Overtime
* Change in when Inspectors can/can’t work. Reflects new work schedule
4. GSOC
* LOTS of Discussion
* New Action has been created and will be emailed to everyone to view
* Continue to pass issues to Site Deputy Chiefs. Be specific with details.
* Looking into GSOC’s SOW and RAA. What are they asked to do?
5. On Board Cameras
* Legal stated NO VOICE recordings, when 1st deployed
* That has been corrected. All present managers pledged it to be true.
* A policy will be written to cover On Board Cameras
* Currently and Going Forward – Vehicle ON, Camera ON, No Voice
6. Joint Labor / Management Committees
* Union asked for current list of committees and members
* Chief Harmier will provide a list
* Talked about Union New Hire book
* Management liked it
* Looking to use it Puget Sound wide
* Talked about Driver/Operator training for new members
* Being standard across the region
* Meeting the 6 month time frame
7. Corrective Action
* Discussed type, length and limitations
* It’s a HR and Management process
